Weekly Blog: 3rd February 2023
This week we have continued to focus on the topic: The unique child. Our secondary topic has been: National storytelling week. We have:
  • look at story ideas using picture and prompt cards
  • supported and facilitated lots of narrative in play
  • talked about our favourite stories
  • played on bikes and scooters outside
  • outside the children also enjoyed role playing selling ice creams
  • looked at our emotions and different facial expressions in mirrors and how to read them
  • been on a shape hunt in the sand
  • counting bugs and ladybird spots on our maths tuff tray in the garden
  • went on a minibeast hunt
  • drew self portraits and pictures of people we love
  • did a lot of mark making on wipe boards
  • painted our feet and walked in different colours
  • enjoyed a lot of different stories

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah and Amy
