Weekly Blog: 27th January 2023
This week we have continued to focus on the topic: The unique child. Our secondary topic has been 'What's in my Garden?' Our book of the week has been: Superworm. We have:
  • looked at oppisites
  • sung nursery rhymes
  • played guess the mini beast after a grown gave clues to the group
  • enjoyed outside play and action songs
  • learning about caring for our environment
  • sticking shapes at the craft table
  • painting colourful birds and learning about the big garden birdwatch
  • bird watching in the garden
  • learning about 2d and 3d shapes and their names
  • counting fingerprints and making fingerprint worms
  • practising hearing and recognising initial letter sounds in words
  • lots of stories
  • spotting minibeasts with magnifying glasses
  • playing I-spy bugs in the garden
  • lots of child initiated play included dressing up and construction

As usual the weekly blog represents a snapshot of what most of the children participate in during the week. Please speak to your child's key person if you would like to have further information about your child's interests and progress. You are welcome to ask your key person for feedback at any time and book a time to have a meeting for feedback on how your child is progressing. Hoping you all have a lovely weekend.

Best wishes, Julia, Grace, Sharon, Lisa, Hannah and Amy
